The Association of Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (AİFD) held its 8th Ordinary General Assembly where Melih Memecan was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
31 Mayıs 2010, İstanbul. The Association of Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (AİFD) held its 8th Ordinary General Assembly meeting.
The AİFD’s new Board of Directors included the following names: Melih Memecan (Pfizer), Muhittin Bilgütay (MSD), Elçin Ergün (Merck Serono), Güldem Berkman (Novartis), Yiğit Gürçay (GlaxoSmithKline), Oliver Guillaume (Sanofi-Aventis), Dr. Emin Fadıllıoğlu (Abbot), Chris Stijnen (Bristol-Myers Squibb) and Hervé Dussart (Astra Zeneca). |
Alternate members appointed to the Board of Directors were Roland Stehlin (Boehringer Ingelheim), Engin Kap (Amgen), Didem Abut Özaydın (UCB Pharma), Şinasi Yörük (Intendis), Dr. Önder Sevdik (İ.E. Ulagay/ Menarini), Hanzade Alptekin (Nestle), Cüneyt Balıkçıoğlu (Ferring), and Dr. Can Hisarlı (Eczacıbaşı/Baxter).
Members appointed to the AİFD Inspection Board included Mario Ammirati (Chiesi), Kadir Tepebaşı (Lilly), and Matthieu Accolas (Servier). Alternate members appointed to the Inspection Board were Dr. İlker Özbay (Daiichi-Sankyo), Gaye Burhanoğlu (Lundbeck), Dr. Şebnem Avşar Tuna (Novo Nordisk).
According to the assignment of roles within the Board of Directors, Melih Memecan was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Engin Güner, who previously held this post, along with Güldem Berkman and Yiğit Gürçay became the Vice-Chairpersons of the AİFD. Dr. Emin Fadıllıoğlu was appointed as the Treasurer.
Upon accepting the posting, AİFD Chairman Melih Memecan issued the following statement:
