AIFD Appoints New Board of Directors

Association of Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (AIFD) held its 19th Ordinary General Assembly on February 17. Full and alternate members of the board of directors and board of auditors were elected for a new term, and Dr. Mete Hüsemoğlu was reappointed as the Chairman of Board of Directors.
Association of Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (AIFD) held its 19th Ordinary General Assembly in Istanbul on February 17. The members of the board of directors and the board of auditors were elected for a new term. At its first meeting, the new board of directors reappointed Dr. Mete Hüsemoğlu as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
For the new term, Cem Öztürk, Ece Kaşıkçı, Gözde Güllüoğlu, Jens Olesen, Natacha Theytaz, Natasa Klicko, Okan Güner, Per Edlund,Serkan Barış and Şehram Zayer will form the AİFD Board of Directors, and Hanzade Yaz, Muhittin Bilgütay and Özdemir Şengören will serve on the AİFD Board of Auditors.
Speaking at the General Assembly, Dr. Mete Hüsemoğlu, the Chairman of AIFD Board of Directors, said the wounds from the recent devastating earthquake that hit Türkiye will be patched in unity and solidarity. “From the first moments of becoming aware of the disaster which affected all of us deeply, we have been working hard to urgently meet essential needs, based on a list of medicines and medical supplies needed that we received from Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency and General Directorate of Public Hospitals. At this trying moment, we have witnessed AIFD members’ mobilizing their resources, not only locally but also globally, for assistance in a great spirit of solidarity, and felt their support. We will continue working closely with all public agencies, non-governmental organizations and industry stakeholders to help our nation overcome these difficult times, and assisting patients by providing the treatments they need” he said.
